Human/zombie hybrid & UF/fairy tale writer-mama who wishes she had tastier brains to snack on while writing. Grows her own hair. Also known as the Fairy Tale News Hound - sniffing out all forms of fairy tale news and events (feel free to throw me a bone if you're so inclined). 

These days, apart from hunting down & wrangling fairy tale news into posts (almost) daily, I'm also very active in my Once Upon A Blog Pinterest boards (with many, many fairy tale and myth themed, though you'll see other things too) so come over and see the shiny! Current location: As far as maps go that would be California, United States, otherwise you can consider me between worlds.

 

Current employment: fulltime mum to Jackzilla (a.k.a. the best kid in the universe) and a growing zoo, also known as the best dog, best three cats and best two guinea pigs in the cosmos, along with awesome friendly neighborhood squirrel breakfast-pals, random stray cats who adopt us and very savvy lizards who may or may not be transformed people waiting for the spell to break... (I get paid in kisses and pantomimes of ultra-cute. It's awesome!)

Previous employment in: feature animation, TV animation, special projects animation, freelance writer, script doctor, theater (director, writer, creative producer), animal rescuer and creature-helper volunteer while in previous incarnations I admit to having been various characters in a touring children's theater company and an ankle-biter Nanny (puppeteering was a valuable skill for both of those) along with other odd zombie jobs that I will always be grateful for having done (but never want to do again).

IMPORTANT NOTE for June 2013: After being on unofficial hiatus for almost a year (!) I am very behind on mails and the fairy tale news items and offers so graciously sent to me. Rather than stress over not catching up and foregoing blogging, I am making posting my priority as I think most people will want regular fairy tale news posts. In the meantime, please know I am truly grateful for all your mails, comments and offers for reviews this past year and will get to my mail when/if I can. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
